City Branding Project

As part of a school project, I created a city branding campaign for Barranquilla focused on increasing tourism and strengthening name recognition. The main challenge was the city’s limited online presence and lack of a dedicated tourism platform, which required additional research and authentic input from a native of Barranquilla.


The logo design employs tropical colors and motifs to capture Barranquilla’s Caribbean essence, while a custom typeface reflects the rhythmic flow of the Spanish language and the city’s lively, festive atmosphere.

I developed a visual identity centered on the city’s cultural vibrancy and musical energy, expressed through color, illustration, and a visual rhythm that is expressed through the use of a customized word mark. The final logo became the foundation of a multichannel campaign that extended across marketing assets designed to promote Barranquilla’s dynamic spirit to a wider audience.
